The New Japanese Yoga Program:


  • Japanese yoga is based on the Indian Hatha yoga, incorporating Asian philosophies, working with the meridian systems [acupuncture points] of the body. The breath is used with every movement to move Qi or Ki [energy] through the body to release stagnation and a huge focus is placed on strengthening the Hara [core].
  • Japanese yoga also works in with each season, taking into consideration the time of day, weather, general mood and ever changing needs of students. This means that each class is different allowing for more harmony and support . As well as toning the body, we also work into all the organ systems.
  • Japanese yoga is extremely effective in generally strengthening the body as well as increasing flexibility. It’s a very holistic and therapeutic style of yoga bringing the mind and body into balance, leaving you feeling invigorated, strong and alive, designed to suit everyone and at any level.
